Cutting your software costs
I want to help you save money and I am never going to ask you for anything in return.
Every year I save thousands of pounds by not spending any money on software. It was the NetSuite pricing that pushed me over the edge one afternoon and drove me to look for a better deal for systems to run my business. Most of the essential tasks I have to perform on a daily basis in my business are done using free software. You will not learn this skill at a business school. In fact I would be suprised if many experienced business owners know what I am about to share with you.
Perform these three simple tasks to start saving money.
- Search for ten minutes max per day for each type of free tool.
- Search on Google for Evernote (free) and use this to capture your findings.
- 10 minutes each day evaluating your findings.
I recommend you do this for one month to establish a list and implement all of the tools you might require to runn your business. OK, as promised here is a shortcut – my favorite tools are listed below, these are the ones I use everyday.
To make this even easier for you I have listed each tool (on the right) with an equivalent (on the left) you will definitely have to part money for and may well have heard for or even purchased.
