4. WHAT CONTENT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR LENS ?
USEFUL & INTERESTING
For any long term effectiveness, your content must be useful and interesting to people.
Squidoo started to crack down on spammy lenses in July 2007. Actually I have not seen any lenses that I thought were junk. Sure, a few were "ordinary" but then again, maybe they were brand new. Not to worry.
Since then, lensmasters have a way to report spammy sites. So it is more important than ever to provide quality content. That way you will not be reported.
In fact, you will be offering good value to your visitors so the algorithm that decides on your lensranking will be more likely to regard your lens positively.
AUTO-UPDATING
Squidoo provides a menu of modules that update automatically for you. A very nice feature which gives your lens some freshness without any effort. "Set and forget" -- and who doesnt like that, eh?
And the setup is easy in most cases - except that the very first time you do some things they can seem complex. With Squidoo, however, it's about as easy as it can be. So don't give up. If something seems a bit tricky, ask for help at www.Squidu.com - they're a friendly bunch over there.

MODULES
I recommend that you add these 3 modules -- eBay, Amazon and one RSS feed. They are easy to do.
By the way, you do NOT need to be a member of eBay or Amazon because the profits go to Squidoo. They are shared out to members and some goes to charity.
RSS feeds may be a little more challenging if you're new so we will cover with them in another article: Using RSS Feeds at Squidoo - Explained Simply.
You cannot break it, so try things out. Experiment by adding and deleting modules. Add some copy-and-paste content. Publish your lens. See what it looks like. Practice editing your content. Publish it again to display the changes. Delete a module. Like I say, you cant break it.
Another great way to learn about your content options is to visit lenses that are in the Top 100 list. Look at what they're doing.
